Our Collision Repair Process

Van Collision Center's tried-and-true repair process has been honed over time to ensure that we meet the highest standards of quality. Our certified mechanics will get your vehicle back in line with factory specifications so that you can get back on the road. There are many aspects that make up our collision repair process, which are below.

PREPARE & ESTIMATE

An experienced collision associate will inspect your vehicle's damage. They will then provide a detailed assessment of repairs needed and an estimate of costs for your review. Any questions you have about the repairs will be addressed at this time.

AUTHORIZATION & APPOINTMENT

The estimator will request authorization from you to work on the evaluated repairs. We will also contact the insurance company for approval and set up a vehicle appraisal with your insurance provider if needed.

ELECTRONIC DIAGNOSIS SCAN

We use asTech® to pre-scan the entire electrical system with the manufacturer computer system, to identify any electrical components damaged during the accident.

BLUEPRINT & DISASSEMBLE

After further reviewing the initial vehicle assessment, a deeper inspection will be conducted during disassembly. A clear plan of action and timeline for repairs will be developed, and if any hidden damage is discovered, we will once again reach out for authorization and provide an updated estimate.

ORDER & PARTS

After assessing all parts needed to accurately complete the repairs, parts will be located and ordered. We use factory-grade parts to provide the highest quality results. Once parts have arrived, we immediately begin the repair process.

STRUCTURAL & REPAIRS

If your vehicle has been in a severe accident, it may need structural repairs to realign the frame and other body components. Our team will perform any necessary structural repairs to meet manufacturer specifications, and will also run diagnostics to ensure all systems are properly functioning.

BODY & REPAIRS

Our experts will repair and replace damaged parts, while ensuring extreme accuracy in the fit and alignment of each component. They'll apply new exterior panels and metal finishing, and will perform any required cosmetic repairs to get your car looking like new again.

PAINT & REFINISH

Once body and structural repairs are complete, the vehicle will be transferred to our paint team. From priming and color matching to applying corrosion protectant and refinishing, our team will take all of the necessary steps to ensure a flawless final product.

REASSEMBLE

Once the vehicle is back in the body shop, all parts and systems will be reassembled, including the grilles, doors, trim and other components. In addition, any final repairs are completed during this part of the process, such as wheel alignment and suspension repairs.

DETAIL & INSPECT

We'll make sure that your vehicle looks pristine upon delivery by performing a thorough cleaning and quality assurance inspection. A final test drive will also be conducted to make sure that everything is in working order and that our standard of excellence has been met.

ELECTRONIC SCAN & CALIBRATION

We will electrically scan the repaired vehicle with the manufacturer computer system, to insure all safety systems are working as designed.

DELIVERY

When you come in for the final inspection, an associate will review all repairs made and provide you with details regarding any necessary after-care instructions. You'll review and sign the final paperwork, and get the keys back to your vehicle to take home!
